In a heartfelt acknowledgment of India's political history, veteran politician Karan Singh praised Jawaharlal Nehru and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for their crucial roles in steering the country away from predicted disintegration. Singh expressed his admiration during the launch of his authorised biography, 'A Statesman and A Seeker' by Harbans Singh.

Singh credited both leaders for their complementary strengths; Nehru, with his charisma and dynamism, inspired young minds, including Singh. He shared anecdotes of his personal interactions with Nehru, highlighting the first prime minister's vision for a new India post-independence.

Moreover, Patel's strong-handed governance was crucial in India's political stability. Singh noted that if not for the synergy between Nehru and Patel, the country may have faced the division that Winston Churchill once expected. The event was attended by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor and historian Malvika Singh.
