Tata Power Community Development Trust has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Tamil Nadu Commissionerate for Welfare of the Differently Abled to fortify the 'RIGHTS' programme. This initiative aims to build a robust ecosystem to enhance frontline capacity and technology-enabled service delivery.
The agreement is intended to imbue industry-aligned livelihood pathways for persons with disabilities and will be executed over the next three years. The focus will be on structured training, community-based care, and scalable interventions across Tamil Nadu districts.
Himal Tewari, Tata Power's Chief Sustainability Officer, emphasized the importance of embedding inclusion within everyday systems. The partnership, part of the 'Pay Autention' initiative, is set to create public frameworks that ensure neurodiverse individuals thrive with dignity and independence.
