The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts has unveiled a landmark acquisition with the addition of an ultra-luxury resort in Coorg, Karnataka. This 71-villa property is set to be unveiled as The Leela Coorg Forest Sanctuary, marking a new chapter in immersive, nature-led hospitality for the prestigious brand.
Encompassing 76 acres of rich landscape surrounded by coffee and spice plantations, the acquisition highlights The Leela's foray into wellness-anchored hospitality. With over four dining venues and a wellness center drawing on Ayurvedic traditions, the sanctuary is poised to set a new benchmark for luxury in South India.
Coinciding with The Leela's 40th anniversary, CEO Mr. Anuraag Bhatnagar announced this strategic expansion which aims to blend natural beauty with cultural authenticity, adding significant value to the brand's portfolio, now including 15 properties with 9 more in the pipeline.
