Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary highlighted the burgeoning India-US relationship as strongly anchored in innovation and talent, with the people forming a crucial link in these bilateral ties. Speaking at the Hopkins India Conference 2026, Chaudhary emphasized that the leadership in technology from both nations depends on strategic investment in human capital.

Chaudhary noted the significant exchange of knowledge, citing over 300,000 Indian students in the US and a dynamic flow of researchers and professionals as evidence of this powerful exchange. According to the Minister for Skill Development, this movement of talent is a deliberate strategy, not coincidental.

Namgya C Khampa, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indian Embassy in Washington, highlighted that the Indian-origin community in the US, six million strong, is deeply integrated in areas such as technology, academia, and public life. Khampa described this community as a living bridge and a force multiplier, asserting that the strengthened partnership reflects intersecting interests in strategic sectors.
