The initiative coincides with the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, aiming to unite the world in recognizing sport as a crucial force for peace and development, especially for the youth.
Currently, 273 million children worldwide are deprived of education, facing barriers to development in unstable settings. Peace and Sport champions the notion that sport is pivotal to fostering societal cohesion, inclusion, and growth. Supervised sport programs impart vital conflict-resolution and empathy skills, proving essential for nurturing peaceful societies.
The #WhiteCard campaign, conducted by Peace and Sport's Champions for Peace, encourages global participation through social media engagement. By sharing a White Card, individuals contribute to a collective action that supports peace and inclusion, empowering each participant to fuel this significant global campaign for change.
