Poldark Season 5 to be based on ‘Stranger from the Sea’, Plot to start 10 years ahead

The filming for Poldark Season 5 is over and the series is expected to be premiered in this summer. The upcoming season will mark the end of British historical period drama television series which is based on the novels of the same title by Winston Graham.

The completion of Poldark Season 5’s filming was declared by Eleanor Tomlinson (who plays the role of Demelza Poldark in the series) during the start of February in a post on Instagram. It was same (filming completion) for both series star Aidan Turner (plays Captain Ross Poldark) and Luke Norris (Dr. Dwight Enys).

Some sources claim that ‘The Stranger from the Sea’ is the book that has been adapted for 'Poldark' season 5 with the action kicking off during the starting period of 19^th century (around 1810). Hence, fans will get to see a jump of more a decade in the storyline since the last instalment. That’s the reason, other current stars including Eleanor Tomlinson will be coming back for the fifth season with a tad make-up and hairstyling deployed to make her look older. Thus the same with Aidan Turner.

Known personalities directly from the production did not comment on the plot, hence we will have to wait for updates to come in the coming months. Apart from Aidan Turner and Eleanor Tomlinson, other actors Ellise Chappell, Gabriella Wilde, Luke Norris and Harry Richardson will be seen playing the roles of Morwenna Carne, Caroline Enys, Dr. Dwight Enys and Drake Carne respectively.
