A man from Kalyan has been arrested in connection with a drug-related incident that resulted in two deaths at a concert in Goregaon, Mumbai, according to local police officials.
The accused, identified as Shubh Agarwal, 21, allegedly furnished drugs at the event. He had contacts with another accused, Prateek Pande, but does not have a prior criminal record. The police have detained him, alongside seven other individuals, five of whom are purported drug suppliers.
Two MBA students, part of a group of about 20 to 22 attendees, died after consuming ecstasy and alcohol at the event on April 11, succumbing the following day. Preliminary investigations suggest concert-goers consumed illicit substances before entering the venue. Authorities continue to gather statements and pursue additional leads in the case.
