The pilgrimage, which began on April 19, has witnessed a massive turnout, with over 11.81 lakh devotees visiting the famed shrines. Kedarnath leads in both visitor numbers and recorded fatalities, with 21 deaths out of 4.91 lakh pilgrims. Altitude sickness and cardiac arrest are cited as primary causes of death.

Registration data reveals a distinct enthusiasm among pilgrims, with 33.96 lakh sign-ups, indicating an unwavering religious commitment despite the risks. Officials continue to monitor the ongoing yatra closely.
