Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, overseeing Communications and DoNER, is gearing up for Sikkim's Statehood Day celebrations this Saturday, marking a significant event for the northeastern region.

Scheduled to arrive in Namchi, South Sikkim, on Thursday, Scindia will embark on a series of engagements across Namchi, Ravangla, Yangang, and Gangtok over May 15 and 16. These activities will cover key sectors like development, tourism, education, and agriculture.

On Statehood Day, Scindia will be joined by Vice President CP Radhakrishnan for events including visits to educational institutions, cultural sites like Temi Tea Garden and Buddha Park, and the notable Bhaleydunga Skywalk Project. Notably, Scindia's activity aligns with Prime Minister Modi's fuel conservation appeal, restricting his travel convoy.
