Sikkim Nurse Honored with National Florence Nightingale Award

In a significant achievement for Sikkim, Madhu Mala Gurung, a senior Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery from Pakyong district, has been honored with the prestigious National Florence Nightingale Award 2026.

The award was presented by President Droupadi Murmu in a grand ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, recognizing Gurung's exceptional dedication and service to the healthcare sector.

Sikkim's Governor Om Prakash Mathur and Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang lauded Gurung's commitment, expressing pride in her contributions and wishing her continued success in healthcare.
