''Bigg Boss 17'' fame Soniya Bansal made her debut at the Cannes Film Festival, where her film ''The Last Breath'' was featured at the market screenings.
The film also features Shiv Thakare. It addresses the urgent issue of deforestation and environmental conservation, according to a press release.
Bansal said she is proud to be associated with a film which conveys such an important message. ''The Last Breath' is very close to my heart because it carries an important environmental message. Cinema has the power to inspire awareness and change, and I'm proud to be associated with a story that speaks about protecting nature,'' the actor said in a statement.
Bansal blended Indian tradition with couture elegance as she wore a pink coloured lehenga-saree ensemble designed by Dolly J for her debut. The outfit featured intricate white floral embroidery and delicate gold embellishments, paired with a sheer dupatta draped gracefully over her head, evoking imagery associated with Radha Rani.
The actor said walking the red carpet was a ''surreal'' experience for her. ''Walking the red carpet at Cannes for the first time feels surreal. I wanted to stay rooted in Indian culture while presenting something timeless and graceful on an international stage,'' Bansal said.
The Cannes Film Festival started on May 12 and concluded on Saturday.
The market screenings at Cannes allow production and sales companies to showcase their feature films to international buyers, distributors, sales agents, and festival programmers.
