A comprehensive, multi-agency rescue operation took seven hours to safely evacuate all passengers, according to officials. The tourists were trapped in cabins suspended nearly 500 feet above the ground.

Despite heavy rain hampering efforts, teams from the National Disaster Response Force, State Disaster Response Force, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the Indian Army's Chinar Corps successfully completed the rescue operation.
