The upcoming Bengali movie Jyeshtho Putro (Jyeshthoputro - The Elder Son) is creating much hype mainly after the release of its trailer on World Siblings Day, April 10 at Kolkata's South City Mall.

The renowned Bengali actors Prosenjit Chatterjee and Ritwick Chakraborty will be starring in the lead roles in Kaushik Ganguly-directed Jyeshthoputro. The story of Jyeshthoputro was originally conceived by the late famous Bengali director, Rituparno Ghosh at the crucial juncture of Prosenjit Chatterjee's life. The 56-year old Chokher Bali actor elaborated the years-old fact inspired the late director to write on Jyeshthoputro, the movie which is based on intense family drama.

"The idea of Jyeshthoputro was actually conceived after my mother's death. When I was completing the usual rituals, Ritu (Rituparno Ghosh) stayed beside me for 7-8 days at my house," Prosenjit Chatterjee said. "After all the rituals were done, Ritu told me every person has to maintain two entities, for me it was of a superstar and the elder son of a family," he added.

The Bengali superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee also revealed how Rituparno Ghosh closely followed all the happenings when the former was doing all the responsibilities of an elder son added by maintaining his star image even at the funeral. "In fact, it actually happened that my friends at the media and press came a bit late and asked me to pose beside my mother's photo so that they could publish the pictures," he further said.

The actor further accepted that he had to shut all his deep sorrows, emptiness and pain at that moment. That was the actual ground which enthused Rituparno Ghosh to write a story. In a recent conversation with Indian Express's Bengali edition, Chatterjee said that the avid viewers, mainly fans of Ghosh should not have the mindset of watching the movie just for the late director. The director Kaushik Ganguly has rearranged Ghosh's story by his efforts and lots of surprising facts are to be observed in the movie were created by him at that time. Those surprising moments are also highly being nourished in the movie Jyeshthoputro.

Jyeshthoputro is slated to be premiered on Friday, April 26.
