Ajay Devgn to have special appearance in Bhansali's 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'?

After almost 20 years, Ajay Devgn is set to collaborate with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his next film "Gangubai Kathiawadi", in which the actor is likely to have a special appearance. Alia Bhatt is set to headline Bhansali's "Gangubai Kathiawadi", which will hit the screens on September 11, 2020.

"It is not a full-fledged part but a special appearance. It is a very interesting role. An official statement in this regard will be made soon," a source close to the development said. Bhansali had directed Ajay in his romance drama "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam". The 1999 blockbuster also featured Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan.

The shoot of "Gangubai Kathiawadi" is likely to begin in December. Bhansali will co-produce the film with Jayantilal Gada's Pen India Limited.

The filmmaker recently announced another project, "Baiju Bawra".
