When the victim's elder sister informed the family, they started looking for her. However, the girl's body was found from inside a water tank hours later, the SHO said. When the boys were questioned, they said that the girl had died due to asphyxia as she was eating a guava which got stuck in her throat and they hid the body in the tank out of fear, the SHO said. The body was sent for post-mortem examination by a panel of doctors which found that she was raped and killed, the SHO said. A case was lodged by the father of the deceased against the boys on Monday and they will be produced before the juvenile justice board before being sent to juvenile home, the SHO added.
