Kremlin: Nord Stream mothballing is decision for all stakeholders

The Kremlin said on Monday it was for all stakeholders to decide whether the damaged Nord Stream gas pipelines should be mothballed.

"Of course, this is a decision that should be taken collegially by all shareholders," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

Sources familiar with the plans told Reuters that the Nord Stream undersea pipelines which were damaged in blasts last year are set to be sealed up and mothballed as there are no immediate plans to repair or reactivate them.
