Tragedy Strikes Family in Ganga: Three Feared Dead

A family outing turned into a tragedy Saturday when three members were swept away by strong currents in the Ganga river, according to police reports.

The incident happened when a family of six went swimming in the Ganga. Although locals managed to rescue three members, the father, his 12-year-old son, and 13-year-old nephew are feared dead.

Station House Officer (SHO) Manoj Kumar Rai stated that Vinay Singh (38), his son Shiva (13), and his nephew Kishan (12) were caught in a strong current and went missing. Rescue operations, involving police and local divers, are underway to locate the missing family members.
