Arthan Finance, a key player in micro and small business lending, has announced a significant Rs 50 crore funding round led by Incofin India Progress Fund and the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation. This strategic investment, with the foundation being a returning investor, is set to propel the company's expansion and technological advancements.
Since its inception, Arthan Finance has disbursed over Rs 500 crore to 20,000 borrowers across Maharashtra, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, with loan amounts ranging from Rs 2,000 to Rs 20 lakh. The fresh funding will fuel the company's growth in assets under management, broaden its geographic reach, and support investment in AI and ML-based underwriting systems.
Founder and director Kunal Mehta emphasized the critical nature of this funding for the company’s next growth phase, while Incofin's partner Aditya Bhandari highlighted Arthan's capability to drive social impact through the integration of technology and inclusive financial services.
