Chhattisgarh Approves Forest Land for Rajasthan's Power Needs

The Chhattisgarh government has allocated 91.21 hectares of forest land in the Parsa East and Kanta Basan coal block to supply coal to Rajasthan's power plants. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma thanked Chhattisgarh's Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai for facilitating uninterrupted power supply to Rajasthan's thermal power projects.

In a significant development, the Chhattisgarh government has approved the use of 91.21 hectares of forest land from the Parsa East and Kanta Basan coal block. This land will supply coal to power plants in Rajasthan, enabling continuous electricity generation, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced on Friday.

Expressing gratitude, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma thanked his Chhattisgarh counterpart, Vishnu Deo Sai, for the crucial approval. Sharma emphasized that his administration is committed to ensuring an uninterrupted power supply, aligning with the 'Apna Agrani Rajasthan' initiative.

'The Rajasthan government is dedicated to maintaining a consistent power supply. We extend heartfelt thanks to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai for permitting the use of 91.21 hectares of forest land for coal supply to our state's power plants,' Sharma posted on X. This approval will significantly aid the operation of 4,340 MW thermal power projects in Rajasthan.
