Congress Triumphs in Himachal By-Polls Amid Public Discontent with BJP

In the latest Himachal Pradesh by-polls, Congress emerged victorious in two out of three seats, signaling public disapproval of BJP's leaders switching sides. Congress leaders state the people have chosen their party over BJP due to unmet promises and alleged horse-trading tactics by the latter.

Congress clinched victory in two of the three seats up for grabs in the Himachal Pradesh by-polls, asserting that voters have placed their trust in the party. Himachal Pradesh Congress President Pratibha Singh conveyed that the electorate rejected BJP defectors and aligned with the INDIA Bloc.

Pratibha Singh highlighted that Congress performed admirably across all three seats, including two in BJP-ruled Uttarakhand. She emphasized that the BJP failed to meet public expectations. Addressing the rebel MLAs, Pratibha Singh pointed out that the party always addressed their concerns, but they defected to BJP and lost public favor.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu commented that the electorate delivered a strong message to those who attempted to destabilize the elected government through horse trading and poaching. Minister Vikramaditya Singh lauded the voters for fortifying Congress's position, expressing confidence in the party's future electoral performance in the state.
