Karnataka CM Gears Up for Assembly Session with Rigorous Review Meeting

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah urged ministers to prepare diligently for the upcoming Assembly session. He stressed that all key officials and secretaries should attend the session and provide necessary data. The Opposition is poised to raise several issues, including the MUDA site allocation controversy, which calls for a CBI probe.

In preparation for Monday's Assembly session, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah convened a critical meeting with senior officials on Sunday. He urged ministers to be thoroughly prepared to address departmental issues and to attend the session in person.

Siddaramaiah directed departmental secretaries to gather detailed insights on possible discussion topics and compile pertinent data. He emphasized the importance of secretaries and department heads being present to aid their ministers in responding to debates. Present at the meeting were Senior Officials including Chief Secretary Rajneesh Goel and Deputy Chief Secretary LK Ateeq.

The nine-day session is expected to see the Opposition raising numerous issues, notably the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allocation irregularities. Ex-Karnataka Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai has called for a CBI investigation into the MUDA controversy. Bommai emphasized the need for transparency by stating that the absence of any wrongdoing should preclude any hesitation in a CBI probe.
