Congress members and leaders gathered at the residence of former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit to pay tribute on her death anniversary. Dikshit, a Congress leader credited with modernizing Delhi, passed away on July 20, 2019.
Sandeep Dikshit, her son, emphasized his late mother's role in making Delhi a city that reached new heights of development. Addressing the media, he lamented the capital's decline since her demise, expressing a wish for future leaders to learn from her governance.
Sheila Dikshit, who served three terms as Chief Minister, was instrumental in introducing the metro railway network and numerous infrastructural developments. She succumbed to cardiac issues on July 20, 2019, shortly after being admitted to a heart institute.
