Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to unveil the first budget of the NDA 3.0 government on Tuesday, a move anticipated to address key issues such as unemployment, inflation, and income tax rebates for the middle class. Congress MP Pramod Tiwari emphasized the need for rebates, along with measures targeting farmers and controlling inflation.

Criticizing the Modi administration, Tiwari remarked on its trend of benefiting select affluent friends. Congress MP Manickam Tagore noted the government's decade-long focus on enriching the wealthy, citing Adani's dramatic global rank climb as evidence. Tagore calls for a budget that prioritizes the poor and marginalized populations who rely on daily rations.

Prior to the budget presentation, Finance Minister Sitharaman met with President Droupadi Murmu, receiving traditional wishes for good luck. The forthcoming budget, marking Sitharaman's seventh, will spotlight adjustments in income tax structures and ease of business operations in India. Parliament's budget session, which began on July 22, will run until August 12.
