Chhattisgarh Leaders Participate in ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ Sapling Drive

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, along with cabinet members and legislators, participated in a sapling plantation drive in the Vidhan Sabha residential complex. The event was part of the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, promoting environmental conservation through tree planting.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, his cabinet, the Speaker, the leader of the opposition, and members of the assembly took part in a sapling plantation drive under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign on Thursday. The event took place in the residential complex of the Vidhan Sabha.

CM Sai highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the nation to plant a tree in the name of their mother. In line with this campaign, the assembly members gathered to plant various species of saplings in a 50-acre area.

The drive saw the participation of notable figures including Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Leader of Opposition Dr. Charandas Mahant, and Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao. Forest department officials noted that an ecological park is being developed in the Vidhan Sabha's residential complex.
