Tragic Industrial Accident: Two Workers Die of Suffocation in Goa

Two workers, Akshay Pawar (24) and Akshay Patil (27), from Maharashtra, died of suffocation while attempting to repair a crusher machine at Verna industrial estate in Goa. The incident occurred at 4 pm, and despite being rushed to the hospital, they were declared dead on arrival.

Two workers tragically lost their lives due to suffocation on Thursday while repairing a crusher machine in an industrial unit at Goa's Verna industrial estate.

The deceased have been identified as Akshay Pawar, 24, and Akshay Patil, 27, both hailing from Maharashtra's Sangli and Kolhapur regions, respectively.

According to local police, the incident occurred around 4 pm when the workers entered the elevator pit. Despite immediate medical intervention, they were declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. The victims were employed by N J Renewable Energy Private Limited at Cipla Unit's Briquette Boiler plant in Verna industrial estate.
