At the India Habitat Center, prominent academician, poet, and author Professor Malashri Lal unveiled 'Six of Cups,' a collection of poems penned by IAS officer Neha Bansal. The launch event featured an illustrious gathering including poet Rajorshi Patranabis, publishers Kiriti Sengupta and Bitan Chakraborty, Professor Purushottam Agarwal, poet Suman Keshari, Miranda House Principal Professor Bijaylakshmi Nanda, retired IFS officer Amarendra Khatua, and Misna Chanu.

Neha Bansal, a 2010 batch IAS officer currently serving as Commissioner in the Department of Food Safety for the Delhi government, shared her inspiration behind the book. Bansal described her poetry as a means to capture nostalgic memories of childhood, such as playful sibling rivalries, familial love, and other life-based events. 'Six of Cups,' published by Hawakal, is now available on Amazon, inviting readers to revisit their own past memories.

According to Bansal, 'Six of Cups'—a tarot card symbolizing nostalgia—is an ode to sepia-tinged memories that provide a sense of rootedness in an increasingly alienating world. Poems such as 'Good Old Doordarshan,' 'Sibling Squabbles,' and 'Supernatural' are designed to elicit smiles, while others like 'My Grandpa's Stories' and 'Festival Of Lights' stir deeper feelings of hiraeth for past homes and traditions. This collection is an ideal read for anyone wishing to re-live cherished moments from their past.
