Devendra Fadnavis Dismisses Opposition's Claims, Meets PM Modi

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Sunday, expressing his gratitude for the premier's guidance and support.

Fadnavis shared his experience on X, stating, 'Prime Minister Narendra Modi's blessings have always been and will always be with Maharashtra. Every time I meet him, I get new energy and his guidance.' He also mentioned meeting Modi with his family, including his wife, Amrita, and daughter, Divya.

Earlier, Fadnavis took a strong stance against the opposition, accusing it of spreading misinformation about the Agniveer Scheme. 'Under the Agniveer scheme, the government has successfully inducted young blood into the armed forces,' Fadnavis told reporters. He stressed the importance of maintaining a youthful army to avoid issues during wartime.

'Agniveers should be respected and provided with all kinds of facilities, ensuring they do not encounter any problems in the future. All these provisions are included in the scheme, but the opposition deliberately spreads confusion,' he reiterated. Fadnavis also referenced Prime Minister Modi's Kargil Vijay Diwas speech, criticizing the opposition for questioning the Agnipath Scheme and jeopardizing national security.
