Madhya Pradesh Government Probes Irregularities After Madarsa Closures

The Madhya Pradesh government has initiated a detailed investigation following the cancellation of affiliation for 56 madrasas in Sheopur district due to non-compliance and irregularities. The inquiry aims to ensure all educational institutions adhere to state regulations, guaranteeing quality education for students.

The Madhya Pradesh government has launched an intensive probe following the recent cancellation of affiliation for 56 madrasas in Sheopur district. The action comes after these madrasas were found to be non-operational, according to Uday Pratap Singh, Minister for School Education.

Singh stated that various districts are witnessing irregularities where schools are either not functioning or devoid of children. In Sheopur, over 80 madrasas were operating, out of which 53 to 54 had been closed for several months, leading to the suspension of government aid.

An official release noted that physical inspections are being conducted across the state to identify and address violations. The School Education Department has discontinued aid to non-compliant madrasas. Regular inspections are mandated to ensure students receive quality education and benefit from state schemes.
