As Parliament convened for the ongoing Budget Session, Union Home Minister Amit Shah moved a motion for the election to the Committee on Official Language in Rajya Sabha. In Lok Sabha, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and Deputy Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha, Gaurav Gogoi, presented the Second Report of the Business Advisory Committee.
The revised agenda for Lok Sabha included the introduction of "The Bharatiya Vayuyan Vidheyak, 2024" by Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu, followed by discussions and voting on the Demands for Grants under the Ministries of Railways and Education for 2024-25. The death toll from the Wayanad landslide reached 143, with numerous individuals still injured and trapped, according to the State Health Department.
