Uttarakhand CM Dhami Oversees Rescue Operations Amid Heavy Rains and Disasters

In a hands-on response to the recent heavy rains and resultant disasters, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted a field inspection in Beheda, Tehri Garhwal. He met with affected residents, assessing their conditions firsthand.
Stating the gravity of the situation, CM Dhami mentioned, 'There has been loss of life and property due to cloudburst and heavy rains here last night. 3 people have died. There has been major damage to the bridges.' He assured that relief and rescue operations are progressing swiftly, with teams on the ground ensuring no further hardships for those in disaster camps. Additionally, restoration work is slated to proceed rapidly, with careful monitoring of the Chardham Yatra as per Meteorological Department forecasts. Both NDRF and SDRF teams are actively transporting stranded individuals from the Kedarnath route where two bridges were washed away.
Further emphasizing the ongoing efforts, CM Dhami shared his commitment to assisting the disaster-affected population via a social media post. Following a high-level review meeting at the State Emergency Operation Centre, he reiterated the readiness of rescue teams working through the night to safeguard residents across affected regions. Directions have been issued for immediate assistance from all officials, with financial and operational support guaranteed by the state government.
