Cloth Showroom Owner Dies in Roof Collapse as Fire Engulfs Plastic Factory in Delhi

Anil Gupta, the owner of a cloth showroom near Subzi Mandi police station, died on Thursday when the building's roof suddenly collapsed, police reported. Gupta was transported to St. Stephen Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
According to the authorities, Gupta was closing the shop's shutter when the roof, made of iron girders, gave way, trapping him inside. Fire Brigade, ambulance, and electricity officials arrived at the scene to rescue him, but their efforts were in vain as Gupta passed away at the hospital.
In a separate incident, a fire erupted in a plastic factory in Delhi's Mayapuri area on Thursday morning. The Delhi Fire Services Department noted that the fire, which broke out around 9:30 am, destroyed plastic materials stored inside the factory. Four fire brigade vehicles were dispatched, and it took approximately an hour to contain the blaze. No casualties or injuries were reported.
