Himachal Pradesh has been hit by devastating floods caused by a cloud burst, especially affecting regions around Manali. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has spearheaded extensive rescue and relief efforts, stressing the urgency of finding missing persons. "The rescue and relief operation is underway in full swing," Sukhu said, highlighting the gravity of the situation.

Addressing the media, Chief Minister Sukhu acknowledged the relentless efforts of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Army teams, and local authorities. The floods have claimed numerous lives and caused substantial infrastructure damage, including vital roads. "Our immediate priority is to rescue the four individuals reported trapped and recover the bodies buried under debris," Sukhu affirmed, emphasizing the government's hands-on approach with Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi present on-site.

Sukhu urged tourists to avoid risky areas during this critical period. He stressed the importance of safety, cautioning against visits to rivers and waterfalls for photos. Efforts are also focused on restoring essential services like water supply disrupted by the disaster. "The operation will greatly benefit from clear skies and sunlight, essential for recovery missions," he noted, expressing hope for better weather conditions to aid efforts.

As the state grapples with the aftermath, Chief Minister Sukhu assured that the government is taking every measure to prevent further losses and support affected communities.
