'At Akiwat, Taluka Shirol, District Kolhapur, seven individuals fell into the river after the tractor-trolley overturned. Civilians have already evacuated five, but two remain missing,' the NDRF stated. Upon receiving the information, the NDRF team stationed at Shirol promptly moved to the site to conduct a search and rescue operation.

NDRF officials confirmed that local authorities had already arrived at the scene, and a search operation is actively underway. Further details are awaited. Several regions in Maharashtra are experiencing relentless heavy rainfall, resulting in severe waterlogging and extensive traffic disruptions in many cities. (ANI)
