Massive Blaze Engulfs Haridwar Chemical Factory; Prompt Fire Response Saves Lives

A massive fire erupted in Haridwar's Forace Specialty Chemical Pvt Ltd. Quick action by fire personnel and police ensured the safe evacuation of all workers. Fire officials are still working to completely extinguish the blaze and determine the cause.

A massive fire broke out in the Forace Specialty Chemical Pvt Ltd company located in the industrial area of Haridwar on Tuesday. Fire personnel rushed to the spot after receiving information about the raging inferno. Both fire crews and Haridwar police were present, ensuring that all factory workers were evacuated safely.

Chief Fire Officer Abhinav Tyagi, who was present at the scene, stated, 'As far as we know so far, this is a polymer manufacturing chemical factory. There are also neighboring factories likely producing polymers and plastics. The cause of the fire will be determined once it is fully under control.' Tyagi added, 'We have mobilized all firefighting vehicles from Haridwar district and have called in additional resources from Rishikesh, Dehradun, and other areas. Currently, we've controlled 50 to 60 percent of the fire, with 40 percent remaining. Once fully extinguished, the fire's cause will be investigated. Thousands of kilos of chemicals were stored here, and timely action prevented the potential destruction of 10-15 surrounding factories.'

'Our fire brigade team did an excellent job,' Tyagi continued. 'When we arrived, 30 to 40 individuals were trapped inside. All have been safely evacuated, along with families from nearby houses. Though 40 percent of the firefighting work remains, a nearby factory that was also engulfed has been controlled,' he concluded.
