Rohit Das Nominated as RBI Director on Canara Bank Board

State-owned Canara Bank has announced the government's nomination of Rohit Das as the RBI nominee director on its board. Das, who has 26 years of experience, replaces R Kesavan. He has previously worked in various Central Office Departments and has served as senior supervisory manager for Kotak Group and IDFC Group.


State-owned Canara Bank announced on Tuesday the government's nomination of Rohit Das as the RBI nominee director on its board.

According to a notification dated August 5, 2024, Rohit Das will replace R Kesavan as the RBI nominee director with immediate effect, the bank disclosed in a regulatory filing.

With approximately 26 years of experience, Das has held positions in various Central Office Departments in Mumbai, including the Risk Department, Department of External Investments and Operations, and the Department of Supervision. He also served as senior supervisory manager of Kotak Group and IDFC Group during his supervisory tenure.
