Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday directed officials to ensure that there is no scarcity of seeds for farmers.

Following heavy rains in July, the chief minister instructed the finance department to release a Rs 36 crore input subsidy for farmers whose crops were destroyed, enabling them to restart agriculture. ''Ensure that there is no scarcity of seeds for crops for farmers across the state,'' Naidu stated in an official press release. He also mandated 100 percent e-crop registration.

Furthermore, Naidu urged the integration of technology to enhance agricultural output and incomes, advocating for the use of drones to spray insecticides in the fields. He proposed the establishment of a drone testing center in collaboration with the Union Civil Aviation Ministry.
