Seven-year-old Drowns in Rain-Filled Pond at Delhi's DDA Park

A seven-year-old boy died after drowning in a pond formed by heavy rains in a DDA park at Delhi's Rohini, police reported.
The tragic event occurred in Sector-20, Rohini, within Aman Vihar police jurisdiction, on Friday evening at approximately 6:30 PM. Upon receiving information, police quickly arrived at the scene and transported the child to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the child drowned in a pond created by accumulated rainwater at the park. The deceased's body has been sent for a post-mortem, and necessary legal measures have been initiated.
In a related incident, three civil UPSC aspirants perished on July 27 when a basement library at Rau's IAS Circle in Old Rajinder Nagar got flooded during heavy rain.
