Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has accused opposition parties of defaming the country by suggesting that minorities are not safe in India. Speaking at an event organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) minority morcha in Delhi, Rijiju claimed that a campaign is being run to project this false narrative.

Rijiju noted that whenever there is tension or disturbance in neighboring countries, people from those nations seek refuge in India because they recognize it as a safe haven for minorities. He emphasized that constitutionally recognized communities, except Hindus, are considered minorities, but emotionally and socially, no one in India should feel like a minority.

Highlighting the positive changes under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, Rijiju mentioned that the youth, who once sought opportunities abroad, now prefer to work in India. He attributed this shift to Modi's vision for India's future and assured that the country is on the path to becoming the third-largest economy by 2047.
