GST Council to Convene for Crucial Discussion on Rate Rationalisation
The GST Council, led by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, will meet on September 9, 2024, in New Delhi. The Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council, under the leadership of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, is set to convene on September 9, 2024, in New Delhi.
The Council's 54th meeting will center on pivotal issues such as rate rationalisation, reduction of tax slabs, and elimination of duty inversion under the GST regime.
During the previous meeting on June 23, Sitharaman announced that the Group of Ministers (GoM), led by Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sumant Chaudhary, will present an update on their progress and pending tasks in the forthcoming meeting.
