With just hours remaining until India marks its 78th Independence Day, preparations are in full swing at the Red Fort in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to hoist the national flag and deliver his 11th consecutive address to the nation from the monument's historic ramparts. From Srinagar to Ladakh and every corner of the country, citizens will unite to celebrate their freedom on August 15.
The national flag is a ubiquitous presence, seen in shops and on roads across the nation, as citizens embrace the tricolour to honour justice, equality, and progress. Prime Minister Modi's 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign has galvanized the spirit of patriotism. In his 112th 'Mann Ki Baat' on July 28, Modi urged participation in this drive.
In the lead-up to the celebrations, the Army Training Command in Shimla launched a Tiranga Bike Rally, and various events have taken place, including a 750-meter tricolour rally on the world's highest railway bridge. Union Ministers, BJP leaders, and the public have enthusiastically joined in. The theme 'Viksit Bharat @ 2047' sets the tone for a vision of a developed nation by 2047. Special guests from diverse sectors, including Olympic athletes, will witness the grandeur at the Red Fort.
