This Saturday, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi to request central financial support for various state projects, including Polavaram and funds for backward districts. The Telugu Desam Party publicized the meeting on social platform X.

Naidu's delegation included Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu and Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development, Chandrashekhar Pemmasani. The Chief Minister emphasized the increasing public debt of Andhra Pradesh, which has risen from 31.02% of the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) in 2019-20 to 33.32% in 2023-24.

Later, Naidu also consulted with Union Financial Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Additionally, meetings were held with Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu to review the state's aviation infrastructure. Discussions included expanding airport capacities, developing helicopter and seaplane services, and integrating drones into agriculture and commerce. The ministers reaffirmed their commitment to aiding Andhra Pradesh's growth through enhanced aviation facilities.
