Private capital expenditure is projected to increase by 54% to Rs 2.45 lakh crore in FY24. Private capital expenditure is anticipated to see a significant 54% increase, rising to Rs 2.45 lakh crore from Rs 1.59 lakh crore in FY24, as per a recent study by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) staffers.
The projection is based on an analysis of investment intentions by private corporates, and these are grounded in projects sanctioned by banks or financial institutions during FY24, according to the paper by Kamal Gupta and Rajesh Kavediya.
''The projected capex will likely climb to Rs 2.45 lakh crore in 2024-25, up from Rs 1.59 lakh crore in 2023-24,'' the paper notes, signaling a bullish investment cycle driven by rising domestic demand, increased capacity utilization, and government-backed infrastructure initiatives.
