A bomb threat received at VR Mall in Surat district of Gujarat on Monday prompted an extensive search operation, according to police. The threat was communicated through an email at approximately 3 pm, alarming the mall's administration.

Upon receiving the information, police, along with bomb disposal and dog squad teams, rapidly mobilized to the site to conduct a thorough search. Various units of Surat Police, including the Special Operations Group (SOG) and the Police Control Board (PCB), were present to ensure safety and calm. "At around 3 pm today, the mall received bomb threat through e-mail. The dog squad, police team, and SOG team have been investigating the area," said Deputy Commissioner of Police Rakesh Barot.

Authorities are continuing their investigation and search operations to ensure the security of the public and the premises. The situation remains under vigilant scrutiny.
