Andhra Pradesh Allocates Rs 1,452 Crore to Strengthen Local Bodies

Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister P Keshav announced the release of Rs 1,452 crore to local bodies, aiming to expedite development at village and ward levels. This move aligns with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's directives to strengthen local governance, counteracting alleged mismanagement by the previous YSRCP administration.

Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister P Keshav has announced an allocation of Rs 1,452 crore to local bodies in the state, aimed at accelerating development activities at village and ward levels.

As per Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's directives, Rs 998 crore will be allocated to village panchayats and Rs 454 crore to urban local bodies.

Keshav emphasized that these funds would bolster local governance, contrasting with the previous YSRCP government's alleged diversion of the 15th Finance Commission funds.
