ABB Surpasses 10GW in Renewable Energy Solutions in India

ABB has successfully delivered solutions totaling over 10GW for renewable energy projects across India. Using an IoT-based PLC system, ABB's SCADA solution aids in optimizing plant performance and reducing maintenance. This achievement underscores ABB's role in promoting efficient operations for hybrid renewable energy systems.

Electrification and automation leader ABB announced on Wednesday that it has surpassed the milestone of delivering 10GW in renewable energy solutions across India.

According to the company, this achievement stems from over 300 renewable energy projects leveraging ABB's IoT-based PLC solution. The solution includes a SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) system which helps to collect and analyze real-time data, optimizing plant operations and minimizing maintenance needs.

The SCADA system also allows operators to monitor and analyze key parameters for full visibility of plant operations. AR Madhusudan, President of Drive Products at ABB India, stated, ''Our solution remains at the centre of this, helping enable efficient operations of hybrid plants, including solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).'' ABB continues to lead in technology for electrification and automation, contributing to a sustainable and resource-efficient future.
