CBI Registers Case Against CGHS Clerk for Alleged Bribery in Jaipur

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has initiated a case against a Lower Division Clerk (LDC) from the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) in Jaipur, a representative from an Ajmer-based private hospital, and other unidentified individuals, according to a CBI statement. The accused parties are alleged to have misused their official positions to seek illegal payments from private hospitals that aspired to be empanelled with CGHS, the CBI noted.
The case was registered following a complaint from the Additional Director of CGHS, Jaipur. The CBI's official release detailed that the accused LDC, while working in the Office of the Additional Director, CGHS Jaipur, conspired with others to demand illegal payments from private hospitals aiming to join the CGHS network.
Search operations were conducted today at three locations in Jaipur and Ajmer, leading to the recovery of incriminating documents. The investigation is ongoing.
