On Friday, the Supreme Court granted bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a corruption case linked to the alleged excise policy scam. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, including MP Raghav Chadha and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, celebrated the decision as a victory for truth. Congress leader Pramod Tiwari also welcomed the bail order.

Chadha expressed his gratitude, stating, "Welcome back, Arvind Kejriwal, we missed you! Truth can be troubled but not defeated! Thanks to Honourable Supreme Court!" Sisodia echoed the sentiment, attributing the win to the foresight of Baba Saheb Ambedkar. "Today once again, truth has won in the fight against lies and conspiracies," he said.

The Supreme Court emphasized that prolonged incarceration is an unjust deprivation of liberty. Previously, the Delhi High Court had ruled Kejriwal's arrest legal. The case had highlighted concerns about the misuse of central agencies and the climate of fear among opposition parties. Kejriwal had been arrested by ED and later by CBI in connection with the now-cancelled Delhi excise policy 2021-22.
