Reports from various institutions in Kamrup Metro highlighted the adverse effects of heat and dehydration on students. With approval from the District Commissioner, the decision was made to close all educational institutions in the district from September 24 to 27 to protect students' health and well-being.

Amid ongoing heatwave conditions in parts of Assam, the authorities also issued new guidelines on Friday, including adjusted school hours, to mitigate the impact on students. (ANI)
