Goodwill Mobile School: Educating Bathinda's Underprivileged from Trolleys

In an innovative initiative, the Goodwill Mobile School of Bathinda offers free education to underprivileged children via a school built on a trolley. This unique approach reaches students in remote areas who cannot access traditional schooling, making a significant impact in the lives of poor and underprivileged children.

Retired Railway Electrical Engineer, K K Garg, who spearheaded the project, said, "During my train travels, I noticed many poor children deprived of education. I vowed to help them after retirement. Now, through the Goodwill Society, we've established Goodwill Mobile School to educate children in Bathinda's slums. Since starting in 2006, fourteen such schools have been established."

School teacher Sweta Rani shared with ANI, "Our goal is to educate marginalized and poor children. We provide basic education and refreshments between 2-3 pm and 3-4 pm." The Goodwill Mobile School continues its mission to impart knowledge, with strong backing from local communities and voluntary organizations.

Local support and voluntary organizations have played a crucial role in the initiative's success, not only assisting the teachers but also motivating the children. Positive community feedback has encouraged plans for further expansion, bringing hope and a new direction to society through educational empowerment.
