During a review meeting with senior power department officials and Delhi's DISCOMs, Atishi assessed the policy's implementation. The Delhi government's initiative, led by Aam Aadmi Party, stands as India's most forward-thinking solar energy plan, presenting generation-based incentives for each unit of solar energy produced.

The policy endeavors to meet 20% of Delhi's electricity needs through solar power by 2027.
